Creative Coaching
For those longing to live a soulful life.
The Longing
My work in its simplest form, is about getting intimate with lifeforce. Some call it eros or creativity. I call it the wellspring of the muses or the dreaming river. Whatever you want to call it, you know it. It’s the thing that flows through you when you experience a moment of full-bodied aliveness. It is that infectious electric sensation of inspiration and connection.
Perhaps you are here because you feel that yearning to become more intimate with your own creative wellspring and yet, it feels inaccessible.
You feel a dullness slowly spreading over you. It leaves you numb or tired and feeling distant.
It’s there in that voice of the inner critic or in your self-comparison. You know something's waiting for you but you're not quite sure how to step through the door.
Why Creativity Matters
Creation is the unyielding force of life. Just look to the natural world if you want to see creativity in action! Yet so many of us are told we are not creative or have had our joyful expression criticised.
Creative expression can be audacious, tender, disruptive, calming, engaging, or wildly amusing. Audre Lorde talked about making the revolution irresistible, well creativity is the road that's going to get us there.
Creativity is more than just making art. It is the process by which we create. It is the curiosity we feel, our ability to imagine something, to listen to our intuition, to solve problems and find opportunities or to feel alive in our body. It is about seeing the world differently yet uniquely through our own eyes. It is about finding beauty and honouring our grief.
All of these qualities are not only key for living a meaningful life but for imagining and building an equitable future. This is so much more than just making art and having a creative practice, this is about devoting yourself to living a creative life that feeds you and your joy.
What Creative Coaching Offers
A supportive, attuned 1–1 space where your creativity, desire, and longings are held at the centre. This is a space to reconnect with that electric current of aliveness that moves through you when you feel inspired, connected, and present.
Through our work together, you are supported to listen more closely to those moments when you feel alive. To attune to what wants to move through you, soften the inner pressures that disconnect you from your creative wellspring, and to build a relationship with creativity that feels nourishing rather than demanding.
Creative coaching offers time, attention, and companionship as you learn how creativity flows uniquely through you. So it can grow naturally, at your own pace, through devotion and practice.
In my role as coach, it is my mission to help you:
Experience more embodied and emotional aliveness
Work with your creativity as a way to discover more about yourself
Cultivate practices that connect you to your creative wellspring
Find pleasure and joy through your creative practices
Live more alive and connected to your desire
Create more satisfaction and meaning in your work and relationships
Cultivate and share your unique gifts
Connect to your intuition and inner knowing
Who Is This For?
Whether you are already an established or emerging artist, maker, performer, whether you want to write poetry, reinvent yourself, become more familiar with singing or paint a mural, this is for you.
Or perhaps you are a community organiser, front line activist or leader in the climate space seeking to harness your creativity to support the work you do in the world, this is also for you!
There could be a thousand reasons calling you to live more connected to your creativity. Whatever it is, this space is for anyone who feels the yearning to live a bold beautiful life whether or not they identify as an artist.
“A creative life is an amplified life. It’s a bigger life, a happier life, an expanded life, and a hell of a lot more interesting life. Living in this manner—continually and stubbornly bringing forth the jewels that are hidden within you—is a fine art, in and of itself.”
― Elizabeth Gilbert, Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear
How We Work Together
Creative coaching is a reflective process led by you. Together, we clarify what you want to create or how you want to live more creatively, and gently explore what has been getting in the way.
We pay attention to creative patterns (including avoidance, self-criticism, comparison, or pressure) and work to befriend the parts of you that are trying to keep you safe. From here, we establish new behaviours deliberately, iterating them over time and learning through reflection what helps you thrive.
Our work combines:
Reflective conversation to explore thinking patterns and inner blocks
Small, practical experiments to support creative momentum
Accountability to help you follow through
Meta-skills that strengthen your capacity to keep showing up over time
Through this process, you develop the right conditions for your creativity to blossom, allowing your creative connection to deepen through regular practice and lived experience.

Blessed Be The Longing
- John O’Donohue
Blessed be the longing that brought you here
And quickens your soul with wonder.
May you have the courage to listen to the voice of desire
That disturbs you when you have settled for something safe.
May you have the wisdom to enter generously into your own unease
To discover the new direction your longing wants you to take.
May the forms of your belonging–in love, creativity, and friendship–
Be equal to the grandeur and the call of your soul.
May the one you long for long for you.
May your dreams gradually reveal the destination of your desire.
May a secret Providence guide your thought and nurture your feeling.
May your mind inhabit your life with the sureness with which
your body inhabits the world.
May your heart never be haunted by ghost-structures of old damage.
May you come to accept your longing as divine urgency.
May you know the urgency with which God longs for you.
